コースター / Coasters
Each coaster begins as a fragment of one of my paintings.
Rather than reproducing an entire work, I take a small part of it—a colour, a figure, a mark, or a surface—and allow it to become something separate. Each coaster is hand-painted, so no two are exactly alike.
They can be used in everyday life, but they also carry a small piece of the painting with them.
それぞれのコースターは、私の絵画の断片から生まれています。
絵画全体をそのまま再現するのではなく、色、人物、筆跡、表面といった一部分を取り出し、別の存在として形にしています。すべて手描きで制作しているため、同じものはひとつとしてありません。
日常の中で使うことができると同時に、絵画の小さな一部を持ち運ぶようなものでもあります。
